    Sharky Forum Folding Team

    Here
Took the liberty of creating it myself since amazingly there wasn't one already. 34149 is our team number. I did a search and found some SF members are already folding for other sites and that's great. But if anyone wants to see SF bump up the list check it out. I doubt we'll ever compete with the long running big boys but in time we could churn out some helpful stats. If this catches on great, if not oh well

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but you can explain what folding means, and specifically how it works.

I tried to understand, by reading their website but it seemed kinda confusing.

Choose SETI if you want to find ET.

Choose Folding@Home if you want to help to find a cure for cancer.

I've already got a good bit invested in SETI, so I think I'm staying there for now:

    Code:
Your rank out of 4715888 total users is: 602090th place.
The number of users who have this rank: 1766
You have completed more work units than 87.195% of our users.

There is a Sharky United Devices team already too (?) -http://www.grid.org/projects/patriot.htm-. I just number crunched with my rig independently myself, but the more the merrier on folding projects either way.

OK now I need someone to splain some of this to me. When a system starts on a work unit it displays a number xx/400 or xx/500 was what I was seeing. Now I just got one that read xx/2500. I know what the first number in the string is, but what is the second?

I've joined the Sharky Forums team too.
I figured I might as well since my computer sits idle every night.
