XP Password Forgotten

My friend calls me at 5 this afternoon because he can't remember his password on his old computer. He is running XP and i am wondering if there is anyway we can "hack" into his system in order to change his password so he can use it again. I don't want to corrupt any of his files or anything but is there a way to get in? Thanx

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but isn't there a simple program you can put on a disk to fix this?

Yeah I have it on bootable disk but can't find a link and have been looking for a while. Maybe someone can come up with it.

couldnt he log in as administrator and just change the password for the other user? unless he uses the administrative password to begin with
