    nero vs. easy cd

I just bought a 52X burner and it came with a copy Nero Express 5.5. I already have Easy Cd Creator 5 and I was wondering which one I should use.

Nero 5.x all the way...it's far less buggy than the newew version 6. I've been using it forever and it rules. I never liked Roxio

I use both. I find that nero is better imo for data and easy cd is better for music. Just my opinion.

Very well said, elthough Nero 6 throws a whole new twist to all this. Nero 6 ULTRA is just too easy to use.

I have been using nero since 2000 and i can say with out a doubt that its a stable program that has more options than easy cd.

If I had to choose the lesser of two evils, then I would choose Nero. Other than that they are both crap. The only reason Nero is so popular is because of it's very large OEM contract. There are less popular but far superior burnware than either of those crappy options.

If you don't use CD-RW disks, use Nero. Otherwise use Easy CD. I am a happy user of EasyCD 6.0.

So...how about sharing the names of those "superior" ones?

If you can give up the Kiddie Wizards then try Padus Discjuggler for bug free burnware and superior CD authoring needs, including robotics.
Also try Feurio! for audio CD authoring, there is nothing better. It's the flagship program from the Nero people.
Burnatonce is also a good freeware offering that relatively bug free.

Good choices for making backup copies especially of copy protected CDs along with BlindWrite.

I use Nero at home and both Nero and EzCD at work. I very much prefer Nero.
    So much to learn
    In so little time!
