Scotchbrite? I'm definately willing to do this over, well, the front at least.

SOrry for the ignorance, but where can I get some scotchbrite?

Nice job XP1800, I've got a dryer sheet mod going myself and it seems to work very well. Nice and clean inside my case.

    Here's the 3M Scotchbrite pads.

    Greenie Weeniies

They work good too. Make sure they are new, unused ones. Used ones clog fast and restrict flow more than new ones.

How much for an SLK-800 & SF2? My Thermaltake Volcano 7+ doesn't seem to be helping. Besides, it's extremely noisey. Is the SLK-800 loud?

About filter mod: Bah, I did the exact same thing---wish I hadn't deleted the pics last night though.

It worked horribly for me, cutting my intakes performance by about half.

The SLK-800 itself isn't loud. The SF2 is adjustable though so you don't have to worry about noise. Cooling is much better than the 7+ too.

*edit-first part didn't make any sense.*
