freeware file conversion untility s/w

Would anyone out there know of a good, perhaps freeware, software tool that I could use to easily convert files from one format to another, using all/any/every file type.

This will convert some picture file types.

Cheers for that, but I'm specifically looking for something that will convert a Word Perfect Document (.wpd) into a Word file (Windows 2000), without erroring out eg. 'there is not enough memory or disk space to convert this document'.

Have tried saving the file manually as different file type already (with hope of re-saving from tried apps into word); .pdf, .txt, without success.

method 1:

Open the WPD file using WordPerfect and save as RTF file.

Open the RTF file using Word and save as DOC file.


method 2:

Open the WPD file using WordPerfect and save as DOC file.

Open the DOC file using Word.


method 3:

Open the WPD file using Word and save as DOC file.
