    Preferred music player?

    What's your preferred music player?

We all know how WinDVD is know for it's great playing DVDs, but i've been using it lately and (because of its sound quality) I've found it to be my preferred music player (I use trusorround xt enabled).
I'm currently using WinDVD 5 Platinum.
    Any thoughts on other players?

Foobar2000. Focuses on sound quality, not visual effects.

You must try this with winamp2.91, Pinchy. It's a decoder plugin, and there should be a noticeble difference in the highs. (link is at the bottom right)

there is absolutely no difference in quality of playback between winamp/foobar/mad plugin. they are all reference mp3 decoders, the is no difference at all. your fooling yourself.

There is *LITTLE* difference, but there is a difference there.
Its pretty ignorant to claim that there is no difference between 16 bit and 24bit audio streams. Many people have heard the difference.

I myself have heard little if no change... but it could be my soundcard. And for your info - foobar sounds better to me than winamp2,3 or 5 beta.

CoolPlayer with Cool Wave Mapper. I always thought it sounded smoother and less harsh than Foobar.
