Getting a GPS. need recommendation
as much as I like spending money on my rig. it's pretty much the same thing. so I figure I buy a new toy I don't have.
I settle on a GPS as I will start to do hiking and outdoor stuff again.
anyone here familiar with protable GPS ?
My budget is up to $250.
I heard the Gremlins GPS are pretty good. I don't know jack about GPS units or what features they have and stuff.
I see some that are:
- color screen
- 16+ megs of ram
- PC connetions.
can anyone recommend a best bang for bux GPS unit for my budget.
I would like
- something that is relatively small
- use standard batteries
- good feature sets.
- durable.

Whenever I hear about navigational equipment, I automatically think Garmin products. I can't give you personal info on use though, but I've always gathered they have a fairly solid reputation for being one of the better brands out there.
