    Novell + windows 2k + client

    how would you set up 3 pcs

    1 off novell one off windows server 2000 and one as a client and make them all talk .

    why? just something ive got to do in my networking class im just curious. i just started so i wont be getting into this stuff for another year

    Do you HAVE to create a third PC as a go between client...because presently there is a client built into Windows which allows for Netware communication.

    For the MS client, install and configure "Client for Microsoft Networks" and join the system to the domain.

    For the Novell client, same as above, plus install and configure the Client for NetWare, too. (I'd recommend using the one written by Novell instead of Microsoft's client.)

    For the third system, I'm not sure what you mean by "client" since the other systems are clients, too. But if you set it up with no domain membership or anything, you can still access your Windows servers via secondary logon. (In other words, you'll get an authentication prompt when you try and access domain resources.)
