Question Legal pursuit of a hacker?

A while back my website was defaced by a group who left "L10n" on my index page.... that was it. I'm guessing this had to be the Chinese hacker group L10n. What can be done in terms of getting back at these hackers that defaced my website?

Probably very little, to be honest.

Between the difficulty of tracing the group and the international nature of the group, it'd be hard, I'd guess...

sucks... they did no real damage but still... i'd like to put my foot in somebodys ***. Maybe my webhosting company for bad security. Then again, how would I know if I had bad security if I had not been hacked? Gee thanks L10N!

You can do nothing unless you have logs of the event.
Even then the chances are very slim that anything can be done.

I should have just kept the site in it's hacked state and let the ISP deal with it... oh well, it was over a year ago, hopefully they've applied at least a few patches to their servers by now.
