If you like this kinda FPS, just like me, you'll definitely like Serious Sam : The 1st Encounter as well as The 2nd Encounter. Demon hordes galore, just blast everything in sight. Another one in the same vein as these is Will Rock (but it doesn't rock like SS and PK)

Sort of old school, but Blood was a great game back those years ago. Similar sort of game, though it was obviously limited by hardware.

Serious Sam would be the best option, I truly enjoy the game, and it's certainly my Game of the Year. Despite its flaws, it has the potential to be one of the finest single-player FPS games of all time, similar to TSE, once it is fixed. Everything about the fighting is fantastic, and the plot is delightfully corny and ridiculous, something games seldom achieve. However, it performs poorly on a mid-range PC and crashed several times for me. If they genuinely needed more money, they should've kept it in production for a few months longer or released it as an early access game. But the core is gold, and I'm hoping that SS5 or an expansion will be released much sooner than it took to move from 3 to 4.

Holy thread resurrection, Batman! Serious Sam is one fun old skool shooter! Siberia Mayhem just had a Christmas update, there's an extra weapon skin to be gotten for completing some Christmas themed missions.
Awfully fun stuff, just collected three parts of the special weapon/skin, one from each of 5 levels, so I've done three missions already. There's also a new option, New Game+ where you can start a new game with weapons and ammo you've already collected. But be forewarned, you'll have to play it at 'Serious' level which is just insane.

Completed the Christmas challenge, five of them since there're five levels.....boy, was it loads of fun! True enough, upon completion, you start off with weapons you'd already amassed from previous missions, but man, Siberian Mayhem (or any Serious Sam game for the matter) at 'Serious' difficulty is....no walk in the park (to put it mildly).
Just trying to finish the first level is an impossibility for me, no matter what combo of weapons and tactics I employed, I get overwhelmed and die most horrible deaths. It seems my usual Rambo style gameplay of just standing there and unloading with rockets, cannon, minigun, etc at those #$%@ Kleers/Headless Kamikazes/Octanian Commanders/etc charging en masse at me isn't a survivable gameplay style.
The good news for me is, seems Time/Groteam have heard the many complaints about the 'Serious' difficulty level with New Game+, so they'll update it in the next patch to allow us to choose the level of difficulty.....whew, that goodness
