Has got that jut
To whoever that was that was asking me if that was my glass building by the beach (I forget who it was), that was my building you were thinking of. I honestly have no idea how I managed to go in and out of there at least 3 or 4 times and I never noticed the massive chunk missing from the wall.
I noticed one piece of glass gone by the door, but never looked another block or two to the right at the gaping hole there.

Looks like Monroeski's work in progress is working now. Or at least it was when I saw it.
I've only got one more tunnel to do to my island, but it's going to be a PITA long one.
After that, I'll focus on what Minecraft is really for...
DIGGING.
*Edit: Not a single person has logged into the creative server since we started SMP, lol. Not ONE.

I rebuilt it with a better plan; it was a PITA to get rid of that huge mass of lava, though. It takes SO LONG to disappear on its own. I eventually just poured water down the whole thing (after removing the source blocks) and spent a while mining the cobblestone wall. I'm going to add a bit to the overhang on the left side (if you're facing the falls from where I took that pic) to make it a bit wider yet. I like the spot I chose for it because there is that big natural bowl right by the cliff to catch all the flows.
Also, I've got some plans for the creative server once redstone dust starts working, so don't ditch it quite yet.

That is not true at all. Once, after he added domain-saving but before he added the port-saving on the login screen, I clicked to login without the port number because I saw the name still there.
For real though, I also logged in once to make sure creepers hadn't overrun my stadium (thankfully I didn't see any holes), some time after the point where you'd managed to turn them back off.
And...at least some redstone stuff works. I dunno if there is something specific that people are waiting for, but I built a working "complex" memory circuit that basically makes a pressure plate behave like a lever (it remembers state instead of automatically reverting to "off"). It's on the creative server somewhere between the spawn point and the storage house (nearer to the storage side)...the pressure plate+lights are (now) in a wood house, and the circuit is on the other side of an obsidian wall (to hide the complexity from the house). And I've wired a couple of simple door switches as well, including one that worked from underneath the door.

Haven't played Minecraft in a couple weeks. Been busy with finals and term projects. I'll probably play some more over the break.

Anyone else having some extreme issues with Furnaces? Specifically if I move too far away from a furnace, or if I log out/back in, I lose everything in the furnace. Fuel, source material, forged material, everything. I've lost probably somewhere around 10 stacks worth of wood at this point due to this bug, not to mention sand&glass.

No furnace problems at all for me. I've had a few moments where it feels like Christmas when I've logged into the game after a few days and find some coal in a furnace I haven't messed with in a while.

I had that issue on the other server but so far, so good on this one. That would piss me off though.
