Which Tegra2 Tablet would you choose??

    Hi guys.
I'm inbetween choices... I'm looking to buy a Tegra2-based tablet.
So my choices are Motorola Xoom, Samsung 10.1, Acer Iconia, Toshiba Thrive, and Asus Transformer.

I'm leaning towards the Transformer for having SD slot and docking keyboard.
    What do you think?

id go with either the tab or the transformer depending on price. the xoom is overpriced and ive read that the acer has mediocre build quality. never heard of the thrive

I have a Xoom, but if I didn't get in on the Woot deal, I would have got a Transformer.

Getting a tablet now is not such a great idea if you don't essentially need one. The speed of these tablets are ahead of the Moore's law curve so the tablets of today will be obsolete in no time. Once the quad cores come into play next, then it will become a more reasonable purchase. Until then, I am waiting on the Ipad 3 at very least.

I also did not realize/know that the keyboard also acts as an extra battery source!!

I can only personally recommend the Galaxy Tab 10.1. I compared it to the Asus transformer at the store, its form factor, 3G capability, screen won me over.

The difference in size is very large and the tab wins. The battery life is excellent and it comes with 3G while the Transformer does not. Having 3G is excellent for me as I have a free mobile 3G data-only sim card from my ISP as part of my subscription package.

I can spend about 6 hours just surfing with my tab and still have more than 50% battery life left. It's not as impressive as the numbers I've read about the transformer, but great on its own merit. The transformer does one-up it by having a 32 gigabyte capacity to make up for the lack of 3G.

In the end you can't go wrong with the transformer or tab. They are both great contenders. Oh and the tab can always use a bluetooth keyboard if 3G is a must have for you. Just 16 gigs less space for the same pricepoint.

Edit: Oh lol, just only read that you ordered the transformer. Hope you enjoy your purchase, feature-wise it sounds extremely powerful.

I also loved the fact that the Transformer has a hard keyboard dock that also acts as extra battery. Didn't care about 3G since I will eventually tether it to my 4G phone when I upgrade via paying the $30 extra per month

I'd recently gone Tab 10.1 myself, love that it's so thin, and the screen's gorgeous. Bought it with an unlimited data plan, so I can surf all day if I'm so inclined. I copied a few of my ripped movies into the Tab, plays DivX, MP4 and WMV w/o issue.....didn't have to convert format at all!
