Upgraded from a Geforce 9800GTX+ 512MB to a Radeon HD 6750 1GB and my WEI dropped!!!
Why would this be? The 9800GTX+ got a Passmark of 1095 where the HD 6750 received a 1617 yet my WEI with the 9800GTX+ in Graphics & Gaming Graphics was a 7.0 and with the HD 6750 it is now a 6.9!
Does this make any sense?

Ha ha, that's not the point. This was supposed to be an upgrade, not a downgrade.

I dunno, the HD6750 is not that powerful a card, in fact, it may be slightly weaker than the 9800GTX+. The HD5770 performs similarly to the HD6770, I think the HD5770 performs about the same as a HD4870 (a smidgen below the HD4870 actually). Now, the HD4850 is said to outperform the 9800GTX, hence forcing nV to release the 9800GTX+. At best, the HD6750 is on par with the 9800GTX+, at worse, a smidgen below it.....I think. Just speculating here, don't shoot me if I get it wrong. BTW, who gives a crap about WEI, 3DMark 11 is where it's at!

The 6750 is the equivalent of the 5650 of the previous generation. It's a lower-mid-range at best card.
You definitely upgraded in features, shaders, DirectX11 support, etc. But it doesn't have the raw horsepower to compete on an apples to apples level.

Ok I guess I was just confused with the Passmark scores. I understood that the Passmark score measures it's power and since the HD 6750 was about 600 points higher than the 9800 GTX+ I thought I was upgrading.
If it turns out they are roughly the same power but the HD 6750 does it "prettier" I am fine with that.

Just go to Tom's hardware http://www.tomshardware.com/, or any of the other benchmark scores before you pick up a new piece of hardware to see how it compares. I wouldn't worry about windows scores, check out the benchmarks, with all the numbers games the manufacturers play it's tough to guess how cards will match up
