WOW battlefield 3 is a load of crap...
What happened to the server browser? It opens a server browser in my internet browser (IE) and then tells me I cant join any servers because my browser is 64 bit? ***! Of course my browser is 64 bit, im using a 64 bit OS. Did not a single person who made this game know anything about computers, or did they just port it from the xbox?
HORRIBLE.
I wish someone warned me. If I could, I would return this POS.

This is why I hate that companies dont make demos anymore. Wouldn' have bought this if there was a demo. This is primitive and a step backwards. You make amazing graphics and then screw up the BASIC interface of a server browser. I am guessing the next battlefield installment will forego the mouse as a method of control and have keyboard only like the original Doom.

lol alt+tab just crashed me out of the game. I guess all the good reviews are because graphics > everything else to people these days.

No, *MY* new girlfriend!~
I love Battlelog, it's much better than an in-game browser. I alt-tab while playing BF3 all the time without issue.

What you gonna do?!?
I really disliked the browser based match making in BF3. It never worked quite right for me. Wasn't the main reason I quit but it sure had a part in it.

Yeah chrome is a lot better for bf3. But the origin crap made it too much of a hassle.

At least they fixed the bug from Bad Company 2 that wouldn't let you bind the "enter" key, which is what I always use for sprinting.

I don't like Chrome's and new Firefox's address bars. They don't save a list of recently visited sites. Its much more convenient when you have a list of frequently visited sites in your address bar. Firefox has the oldbar plug in at least, but chrome doesnt.

I regret buying BF3 as well, Origin and the browser window interface are horrible and the lack of bots makes it difficult to learn the game offline. I haven't bothered trying to transfer it across since replacing my desktop.

Why use a 64bit browser? It isn't compatible with tons plugins and provides no real advantage. Your computer has a perfectly good 32bit IE on it. Just because your OS is 64bit doesn't mean you have to use the 64bit browser.
Also, chrome and Firefox are still better browsers then IE. IE 9 is OK but still not my cup of tea.
Also, bf3 has had its issues but I like the game. The browser server browser took some getting used to but I prefer it now. It was also designed to leave the game without crashing and I have never had an issue with that personally.

Dunno, I just use it by default. I don't use any plug ins, just vanilla IE (well, except flash and java and whatever). Like I said, I hate the Chrome/Firefox interface because they took out the address bar.

Ok, a few things to address in this thread. Even though referring to IE as a better browser than...well anything pretty much invalidates your whole argument, but I'll address the other issues anyway
1. DICE has always sucked with server browsers. Battlelog is leaps and bounds better than any other in-game browser they've created. It allows them to make upgrades/fixes to it without having to patch the entire game, since it's a completely separate system. I personally really like the web based server browser. Look into Better Battlelog and Battlog Plus (I think that's that names). They make it even better.
2. I've never had any issues alt-tabbing out of the game. This is likely an issue with your system. How much RAM are you running?
I regret buying BF3 as well, Origin and the browser window interface are horrible and the lack of bots makes it difficult to learn the game offline.
I don't see why Origin is that big of a deal, it fires up at launch and does nothing else. How is it that big of an issue? There is an entire single player campaign for you to practice offline. It doesn't take long to figure out how to at least play decently in multiplayer as well.
