    Good replacement for 4870.

I have a 4870 that's getting a little long in the tooth and to be honest, I haven't been following VC's for quite some time now. Really what I'm looking for is a good used card @ around $100 that someone can recommend I keep an eye out for. Like is a 550 ti for $125 a good price? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

at that price: radeon 7770 or geforce gtx 650

if you look on ebay or forums, the radeon 7770 (hardocp, anadtech, etc) can easily be found under $80 shipped

the 560ti is probably a bit faster but the used market value of it at $130-150 is a bit high for the minimal gains and older architecture

if you dont mind doing a bit of work (selling games on ebay and mail in rebate) and can stretch your budget to $150, i would MUCH rather go for this deal: its a Radeon 7870 (Tahiti LE Version) with 2 new games for $215 shipped. The 7870 (Tahiti LE Version) is CLOSE to the 7950 and geforce gtx670 in performance and those are considered $300-400 high end cards.

Thanks kpxgq. I'll look into those. Also I meant 560ti and not 550ti. With the LE version, does that mean light? I remember back in the day when I could've sworn I had an LE version of a geforce card. I can't keep up with all the cards anymore.

Are you just looking for some light gaming capabilities, or are you looking to do other things, like F@H, SETI, Milkway, etc.?
