Should be interesting to see how quickly the transition to DDR4 production ramps up. DDR3 had more or less bottomed out at the end of last year (production glut/price crash). If they truly are ramping up DDR4 production for Broadwell/Haswell Xeon E5 v3's, then that means we will probably never see DDR3 as cheap as it was 8 months ago.
And that makes me a bit sad. I'm excited about DDR4, but I have 300 DDR3 machines in my datacenters right now that I need to get more RAM for. Knowing that it isn't getting any cheaper makes it a hard sell to management.

Processor news has been very boring since SB, a couple percentage points here and there. I wish we could do another Conroe, those were fun times. A lot of people are hoping for something out of steam roller, but with an outdated platform, there's not much to say.
