I'm really liking the game. I think the story is interesting enough. I wish they would come up with a better main thread to give the story a plot. As of now there isn't a plot at all. Franklin seems like he just chills by the phone waiting for people to call him. Trevor bursts in on people like a nightmare version of Cramer.

I like the expanse of the map and the number of activities, but the thread weaving them all together is lacking. I was expecting the heists to play a central part of the story, but they seem very spontaneous without much back story or camaraderie between the characters.

What did you guys think of the torture scene? I didn't find it as disturbing as the media has. I think it was well done and, contrary to what most people think, it was not satirical. It was one of the few times that Rockstar dropped the joking and actually made a direct commentary on a social issue.

I can't figure out how to interact with Chop anymore since Franklin moved to his new location. Chop gets out of his doghouse and walks around, but I cannot interact with him anymore. Not sure if it's a bug or if I am required to play with him more on the phone app.

I think the characters are interesting, but yeah, the actual central plot is what I feel to be lacking.

The torture scene made me feel uncomfortable. As you say, it's the only part in the game thus far that didn't feel like a joke and just felt cruel.

I need to check it out, but want to finish the story mode first before I jump in. This will be the first GTA I've beaten since Vice City.

I have Max Payne 3, and will be getting GTAV probably tonight or this weekend. However, I'm on PS3..but it looks like platform doesn't matter to join. I sent a request anyway as I was crew-less.
