Which is the better system out of these two for games?

    Novatech

    4th gen Intel Dual Core I5 4200M 3.10GHz
NVIDIA GT 745M 2GB Graphics with Kepler architecture
    8gb ddr3
    Seagate SSHD 500GB Hybrid Drive

    Dell

4th Generation Intel Core i5-4200U Processor
    AMD Radeon HD 8670M 2GB DDR3
    8gb ddr3
    1TB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

Now I am not expecting blistering performance or being able to play the latest games, that doesn't bother me. Both these laptops are in my budget of around £500. The above specs aside, the Novatech is otherwise a much better laptop in my opinion but I don't know much about the graphics performance of the two cards here.

I've never heard of Novatech so I can't speak to build quality.

I can't say either way until I see the parts lists for the Novatech, it all depends on the motherboard and PSU they use.

Novatech are a uk based company, I'm not sure all of whose machines they rebadge but they seem to be one of the few reasonable companies that are still on the go in the UK. I've had a few dealings with them previously and they seemed fine.

I used to like Dell as I found their machines were reasonably well designed for maintenance, the service manuals were free and the parts easy to get a hold of. However I've found their recent machines to be more difficult to maintain (less access ports, Torx screwheads) and the service manuals don't seem to be available any more. Having said that most laptops are the same these days, if looking for a laptop with decent performance it's worth checking the Dell Outlet as you can get a decent machine with a good discount if you have some patience.

Do you think I would be able to run the likes of Alan Wake, amnesia and Hitman Absolution with a gt745m? oh yeah and dark souls, must be able to play that..seeing as that runs on ancient ps3 hardware I guess I should be fine with that.
