They took it down yesterday due to widespread exploiting. Many bids were over 200k gems. 200,000 gems / 20 gems per card X $.20 per card if sold = $2000 for 1 game.

I glanced at the rules and such a few days ago and decided not to bother. Play games to get cards to convert to gems to bid on free games through an auction process? I'd rather just spend money.
I mean, if my options for Counter Strike: Global Offensive are
rack up 72,000+ gems, when most of the cards and such in my inventory are only worth between 11 and 20
Pay $15 (or even wait a week or two for the sale in which it will be even less)
the answer is pretty obvious.
