I wonder if they mean "only those who already owned it before this announcement" or "everyone who owns it by January 1st so you still have time to buy." The verbiage ("current owners") implies the first but their reasoning ("needs new blood to help balance and tune it") would support the second.

Regardless, I regret not buying it already as I'm a fan of Vlambeer, so I may just go ahead and purchase and hope it's not too late to get in on the free copy as well.
