A new Furui Displayport 2.0 cable for the RX 7900 XTX, I know I can still use my DP1.4 cables, but like my PSU's, I tend to go for overpowered, or in this case, overspec'ed cables. Also got a new 2TB ADATA NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 drive for the main rig, since the board supports up to 3x PCIe Gen4 slots, I figured, why not?

A couple of stuff have arrived, at my bud's place of course, man, do I have a lot of stuff to collect from him when I get back! First is a Linkup PCIe Gen4 x16 riser cable, was advised to get this as it's the most reliable riser cable if I don't wanna deal with WHEA and other errors.

Next is the vertical/angled GPU mount or bracket, I just hope it's strong enough to hold my XTX at a 45 - 60 degree angle which is what I'm aiming for

Since my 2nd rig would be relatively close to my HDTV, I'd also gotten a 10ft long HDMI 2.1 certified cable so that I can game on it....

I think that's all the stuff I'd ordered both here, in Canada, and back in my home country. I should be back on the 12th, will prolly start my build on the 13th, assuming I ain't suffering from jet lag and tiredness due to being back in a totally different time zone.

I've decided that I'd be done with upgrades after my present slew of hardware purchases, and I'm gonna end up with two all AMD builds to fulfill my gaming and entertainment needs.

    Happy Birthday to Me.

thanks for the happy birthday email sharky !

i have a coffee lake pc which is basically a backup rig.
i;m merely using a 2400G sys. for day to day browsing. ...specced up a new sys. for around 2k aud. TBH. i dont really need that yet.

I did the old 'up grade the ram' number to 32GB ddr4....which gave me a feeling of dejavu. in the good ole days that usually meant the new pc build was around the corner. i do have a fairly recent graphics card though (3060ti) so that should spruce it up a bit.

ill see if she can handle cities skylines at 1440p . might even be able to hold out until 14th gen ==========

PS/edit: look at my sig. that's how long it has been between posts here.

Alrighty, I'm done with the upgrades on my main rig, an all AMD rig I'm proud to have built:
    Main rig.jpg
Getting the Linkup riser cable was a good choice, GPUZ shows my card is running at PCIe 4.0 x16 and with Resizable Bar (or SAM as AMD calls it) enable.

2nd rig is still a WIP, touching up some stuff, mostly cable management and having to buy SATA SSD to HDD trays for the two SATA SSDs I have installed....gonna take a spare HDD from my decommissioned rigs to use for downloads, music and movie files.
