    Just unlocked my Tbred...finally

How easy was it? Too easy.
Having that this bad boy for like eight months now I knew I was long overdue for this. I used http://website.lineone.net/~loggan26..._&_bartons.htm and I can honestly say it was five minutes total. First minute case side panel removal. Second minute heatsink removal. Third minute wire bending cutting and inserting. Fourth minute heatsink back on. Fifth minute reset CMOS and case panel back on. Seriously, the actual wire trick part took seconds. The key of course is shorting these parts:

I actually used one fray of picture wire about a 1/4 inch long. Now we'll see what kind of FSB I can really ride. I know my Hyper-X pc3000 is good to at least 217FSB. Of course that's when my HDD started getting flaky on me. I'll also admit I won't permanently leave my FSB and subsequently my pci bus too high for too long. However, I have successfully run around 200FSB in winter and have been consistently at 190FSB for the past several months.
    Here's the unlocked beauty now:

Seriously, anyone without an unlocked Tbred should consider this

One reason I'm dragging my feet on the nForce2 is that I have the Hyper-X and its issues or potential issues with my ram

I would have got that myself if i could wait longer.
Maybe it will play nicer with hyperX.

that and many other reasons. also my kt400 mobo automatically unlocked my cpu, no wire trick needed now to get 225fsb on that with my hdd not going flaky is a different story

I'd say it's quite a feat just to get that 8K3A board to ride a 200MHz+ FSB.
