    Windows Media Player audio issue

I've got a Soyo Dragon+..and am using the onboard sound.
    Problem:
Windows Media player fails to recognize my sound card. Windows has no trouble in itself(it plays startup sounds and such) and winamp plays with no problem, midi's, wav, anything....just WMP can't "see" it.....i looked around for drivers, but can't find anything, is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it? As a side note i've tried a few different players and they can't see it either, could it be just a general codec issue? if so why wouldn't it just say so, instead of "no audio hardware avaliable". Suggestions?

Sounds like you may have a defective board. One of my sytems has a Soyo Dragon + and I have had no problems with it at all.
