    Question NVtweak - Coolbits

When i change the registry so i get the menu to overclock, and then crosses the box it asks me to so i can perform the OC it asks to reboot. Ok fine so i do. And when i get back to the menu to now perform the overclock the box isnt crossed. And its asks me to reboot. Why the H*** wont it save my settings?? It does the same with my refresh rate sometimes....(And no there isnt something writeprotected as far as i can tell)..

    Angry

nvMax is also affected: enabling CoolBits doesn't allow it to overclock either.

I have a TNT which was an OC champ. However, it does the same restart/hardware exam thing., even with older drivers (Detonator 655s).

if nvmax does not enable overclocking, that has nothing to do with the card. it has to do with more then one set of nvidia drivers and d3d.dll, and ogl.vxd entries in the registry. software controls the card, therefore software resets the cards default clock speed, not the other way around. simple yes? use det destroyer and remove the exisiting built up ******** and try again.

    Thumbs up

RivaTuner allows overclocking: I'm unsure if it uses the Coolbits entries or its own.
