Win dvd cant fix an error

alright i have pc friendly dvd and win dvd 4.

When i launch win dvd 4 it wont load but i can see it when it wont load when i hit ctrl alt delete and click processes.

Do i need to remove pc friendly dvd so win dvd can be my default dvd player?

i am using windows xp if this helps so if anybody knows what to do please tell me.

I would uninstall Pc friendly anyway, it is a crappy DVD player. Try reinstalling WinDVD that might fix the problem. Also is WinDVD 4 the latest version? Is it compatible with XP, check out publishers website and see if they have an XP fix.
