How do I use a font that a webpage viewers DONT HAVE on my webpage?

How do I use a font that someone does not have on their computer that I want them to see on my website? Example if I pick the font "Balloons" (no one has this on their computers probably) and want it to be displayed on my website (making sure they can see it to without having to install it on their computer) how do I go about this?

you can use dynamic fonts (also called embedded fonts) in DHTML/CSS. that will cause the fonts to download along with the web page. can make your documents pretty big to download, though, and different formats are supported by different browsers (surprise).

best idea if it's only headings or a logo or something is to make jpg/gif files as dighn recommended, otherwise use standard fonts, or at least tell the users the site is optimized for the font you want them to view the page in and provide a link to d/l the font somewhere (on your site only if the font is free/shareware, of course ;-)).

There's also Microsoft's own font embedding tool, called Microsoft WEFT 3 I think. This will let you embed any font into your webpage but may not work with other browsers than IE.

    Check it out here:
