    Exclamation Fak

HEY ALL U KN0BS WUTZ UP HAHAA I HAEV A PROBLUM,,,,,

    heh, kidding

i installed win2k pro on my mom's computer the other day and she was being a bit less than savory at that time so the 'Name' box came up for the owner of the computer and i put '*****.' A few days later she loaded up MS Word 2k2 and it said 'Registered to: *****' and she's like

    WAT OMG ALEX U *** *** R U DOIGN U CANT SAY TAHT ON HEER!!!!11

My mom is not exactly oriented with computers to the degree that she'd be comfortable with '*****' appearing anywhere, even if it doesn't get printed and distributed, it freaks her out and she feels bad BUT how do I change it without reinstalling the whole damn OS? There's got to be something in regedit, or some 'h4x0rd' .exe out there that can help me out, what do you guys think?

    later

edit: oh my lord, they censor f-a-g on here now? i haven't posted here in about 6 months so I dont know what the new 'civil protection' protocols are.. but goodness gracious, THEYRE CONTROLLING YOUR THOUGHTS PEOPLE

edit again: rofl, they censored the actual computers registered name too.. it was the 'b-word' (lol) if you guys were curious

It's in the registry. Just to make you work a little for the solution, why dont you search the registry for the string you input that needs to be changed. Use either regedit or regedt32.

Actually the name would be there when you distribute files. When installing Office it would use the default name of who the OS is registered too. So if that is entered as xyz and you didnt change it when installing Office then each file she generates will contain that name as who it was from, last modified etc.

Just open the registry and Ctrl-F and search for that word.

Ah - but one little girl does not equal 'children'
