Cool Extracting wires from 3-pin mobo connector...

How do I do this properly? I want to take the wires out of the 3-pin connector on a case fan, but I also want to reconnect them later.

Any advice please, on how to extract the wires without breaking the connector or leads?

If you look on the connector, there should be little tabs on one side. These are really really tiny. Take a exacto knife or whatever you have and lift them up at the same time pull gently on the wire. It should slide right out. To replace it, just push the wire back in that spot on the connector. Back to normal.

I had to do this with my power LED on my case. Connector was 3 pin, mobo had 2 pin. Just switched the wire over one spot in the connector and it worked.

    Good Luck.
