which one do you guys think I should install. what are the pros and cons of each?
I'll probalby install Visual Basic 6 later on also..

Is that borland c++ builder 6? Because afaik that is a rad developemnt suite and isn't exactly the best if you want to learn pure c++. Borland uses a lot of proprietary libraries and keywords and it could potentially lead to confusion if you're just learning the language. As for msvc6 I have no complaints, its a solid development environment.
