Router communication Question/Help?

I have a Linksys 4-Port DLS/Cable router, and I am having trouble playing games with some of my friends that also have this router. I cannot make direct connections using AIM, and I cannot play games in WarCraft 3 and Age of Mythology if one of us hosts it. But we can all join various games created by other unkown people. My question is, how can I set up our routers to allow hosting and joining each other in games and other programs? I know how to access my router and change the ports ect, but I dont know what needs to be setup. Security for all parties isnt highest priority.

You must either forward ports that the games use or put your PC in the DMZ. Here is a site that may help you determine the ports for the games you play.

I am running winxp on the three pcs connected to the router. How do I determine a DMZ host address to use and how do I find it? All pcs are obtaining their IP ADDYS auto. And I cannot find unique IPs for each pc.

Assign static IPs on your private network.

disable the firewall ports 6112 to 6119 udp and tcp for warcraft3! call linksys on how to disable those ports, they do a good job explaining things if you have a tech person who can speak english...
