    computer as router

    hey
    I have a computer with two network cards in it. I was wondering how i would go about haveing it be a router. What program/s do i need?

    2400+
    512 PC2100
    2x 80 gig WD (one is SE)
    FX5200 (I don't game )

    Win2k Server would better suit your comp as a router. But it is possible with XP Pro. What you would do is enable Routing and Remote Access in Services. Only thing XP doesn't have the depth of options as does 2k Server does. With Server you can specify which Protocols you want the comp to route, being RIP, OSPF and so on...

    2k Server much better OS to use for this then XP.
