Dam Store people
Okay I was at my dad went to the local computer store(cause he was going to buy my a gift("hard drive" in a "don't want u to know" voice)) and,I told him if he could get prices for a Geforce DDR and a P3 700MHz(fastest my mobo supports). Well the guy said the GeForce DDR is a name of a compiny, and showed he a voodoo 4...Will when my dad got home and tolded my what the prices where at the store and the GeForce is a compiny...I got very very PO'd and now I don't trust that store....but I think it was that (no offince) Female person that will not be named...
So there is a GeForce card called GeForce DDR and is not a compiny or is GeForce DDR a type of GeForce cards??

That store was smoking crack. The GeForce DDR is a board with the GeForce chipset and DDR memory. Simple as that. The chipset is from nvidia.

Back in '96 when we were shopping for our first computer, a salesman told us to avoid buying a Power Mac as they ran Windows only as fast as a 186. Intel never made a 186!! It was 8088 then 80286, 80386 etc. Unfortunately we didn't know better back then and bought a Packed in Hell (Packard Bell).

it's the most disgruntled time, of the year.... (for those who work in or with retail)

I'm sorry.
On the subject, Most people who work in any kind of store (it is not just a computer problem) don't know diddly about what they are selling which is a real shame. It all comes back to the concept of taking pride in your work, but I digress. Don't be too harsh on the store, just the employee
Remember: Most people take jobs to pay bills, not because they like what they do.

Actually, there was an Intel 80186 processor, but it was never used for home computers. (I think it was used some in industrial controllers, but I'm not sure.)
...just a piece of useless trivia.

I think that you should place the blame on the store rather than the employee. Computer stores make little effort to hire knowledgeable employees and even less to train the ones they hire. And you can't exactly expect the employees to go out of their way to learn more for their 7 dollar an hour job. I wouldn't.

As far as asking for Christmas gifts, I will tone down this year (aka, I have college...that's a gift as of right now).
But...my main request is for memory. I'm just asking my relatives to order online, if anything...to save them money. Not only will the extra memory help, I'm under sapasion's oath

I just got a second job at a gas station where I am encouraged to do homework. As a university student, my options for a semi-"real" job during the school year are limited.
Go figure...when the economy's great...I am going to school. Blech!
