page fault in nonpaged area
hey,
I just booted up windows xp as i do every day, only this time, it went to the blue screen with the error message page fault in unpaged area. It said the problem was with nv40disp.dll, which i take it is my display adapter, (a tnt2...yes yes, i know time to upgrade). I'm wondering if this is solely a driver problem or if i'm messed up the card. I haven't installed any new patches since i reinstalled windows on my system....about a month and a half ago. now when i restart, sometimes it boots fine, other times the windows xp load screen comes, finishes, goes and then leaves me with a blank screen. I hear the monitor switching resolutions, so i think it gets out of the 640x480 mode, and then just stays black. i can boot into safe mode fine, but can't get back to regular windows. Could this be an overheating problem? Or am i doomed to empty my bank account again?
thanks.

Safe mode uses base video drivers. You have a corrupted video driver.

He is correct. Remove the driver in safe mode, reboot, reinstall the driver, reboot. You should be set from there.
