Reef Shark
dual + single memoryconfig.
Hi
I'm going to change motherboard, and buy a new one ASUS P4C800 I think don't really know yet, but still. With my old motherboard I have one stick of 512 mb Kingston @ 266 and cas 2, and with the new one I will get two new Kingston 512 mb 433 mhz cas 2. Is it possible to run the new memories in dual mode and @ 433, and put in my old memory as well and kust run it in single mode @ 266????
Kinda like this:
------> 2*@ 433
------> 1*@ 266
or will all the memories run at the lowest configuration @ 266?
thanks

You can't have different sticks running at different speeds or in different modes at the same time. They will run at whatever speed the motherboard tells them to or fail trying.
