Funny sruff going on not sure what.

When i try and start my pc, the lights of the Mobo, cdroms and cpufans go on for about 1 second then it powers down. i took the psu in and it was fine, so is my mobo dying? it is a Epox 8k7a+ it is not overclockjed and sometimes if i take the power plug out and then plug it back into the psu you it would start sometimes. if it doesn't start and i press the on button again, nothing happens, no ligts of fans go on this time. what hte hell is going on? HTe led1 light on the mobo stayes on when i put it on and the lights and gans go on and then offf agian.

Make sure you have the 2 and 3 pin leads from the power button to your motherboard on correctly. Maybe one of them is not on all the way

I rhink you might have a screwey connection that is causing this since it is not working after 1 second of use.

check your motherboard manual, but there is a jumper on the motherboard, usually near the battery. first unconnect the power cable fom your computer, then move the jumper to it's other settings as shown in the mobo manual. wait about 10 seconds and then replace the jumper to it's original position, plug back in and boot up....you'll need to reset all your settings in the bios, because after clearing CMOS they go back to default

no luck with that. it seems mhy mobo, doesnt excetpt the power or something. THe LED1 light is on, it says thathtere is power for the ram. Howq does one know whether the mobo is dead?

i took my computer apart and rebuild it. now it boots up and then i get the an error. it is 7F , but idont understand what it says in the manual. what does it mean?
