Freelancer is the Morrowind of spaceflight games - except with less missions.
I imagine the multiplayer is more fun.

If you guys loved Free lancer i suggest you try out the masively multiplayer online game: from MS, "ASHERON'S CALL: DARK MAJESTY", it can be played only over the internet. and beats any such game to death. DOnt bother getting the AC2 its not half as good as 1... could be why there are over 11000 ppl playing AC1 and only 1000 to 2000 ppl playing AC2. Freelancer is derived based on concepts of AC in space.
there are 100s of sites dedicated to game... check them out also

That's right, space flying/economic sims lead naturally to massively multiplayer online rpgs....
Rather odd, esp. as AC wasn't one of the better MMORPGs.
One by one, the penguins are stealing my sanity.

AC was not great at all but when they hit it with the Dark Majesty Patch it was and still is known to be the most played MMPORPG!
but dont take my word for it!
similarities: freelancer = AC
freelancer economic jump holes/ trade lanes,
Planets and cruisers = cities and moving vendors
Ships can be bought modified and armoed = House/cottage/vila/mansion can be bought weapons can be made/bought upgraded
trade with traders = trading AI bots, Trade with other players
travel accross planets and sytems = travel accross islands and hemispheres
etc..

HAHAHA, that's the weakest comparison I've ever seen!
Did you know Syria and Japan are practically the same country? They both have people! And those people BUY stuff! They also have roads where those people can get from one place to another!
Plus, Simcity and Grand Theft Auto: Vice Vity are basically the same game. I mean, there are CITIES in both of them, right? And you can spend money in Simcity... just like you can in Grand Theft Auto!

sorry, TeeTee, didn't mean to come off like a jerk, but i just thought it was really funny. I mean, you could describe any game along those terms!
