My vision is improving!
I wouldnt disable all my other hardware
because they arent in use when benchmarking. why disable audio, usb, your modem, etc? they arent in use so itll do nothing. I remember my score didnt change when I installed those audio drivers. Just dont run several programs in the background, such as antivirus. Maybe he needs to set agp aperature to 128mb and set his ram to agressive timings. His nature score is normal, which is proof its not a driver problem, but his car chase is low which means a cpu problem. he gets 18500 at max oc of his. If he can get windows 2k working right which he has given up and went back to windows XP. He doesnt care that much really. also in high res he will beat you in games or in games that are very video dependant but on the cpu side, its about 20% slower than yours. in my opinion, he should have gotten a radeon9700 non pro because a fast card doesnt really "sweat" on a system that makes the card idle while the cpu "sweats"

I got the 9800 pro becuase 1. I like FSAA and AF, 2. im an upgrade whore, which leads into 3. a new CPU(intel system) is going to be next. So naturally....I had the dough so I bought it. I don't regret it at all.

My vision is improving!
1. the 9700 non pro is gonna be just as fast on your computer, even with fsaa
2. me too, I spent so much money, $18 for a tbird, $30 for a pally and now $76 for a tbred but im stopping there, 2GHz is plenty
I might spend on cooling.
3. Intel is way overpriced in my opinion, granted they have faster cpus, the 2.8c is like $300! I dont care if its a "little" faster, I wouldnt care if I got 70fps instead of 60.
4. I do not use fsaa and I do not yet need directX9. fsaa is almost free on radeon9500s and up but I run high res instead.
5. even if I had the money, it would go towards a car, house and investments There is no point in buying somethings thats overkill
