Over heating
Recently i noticed that my computer was getting really hot. Im running a T-bird 1ghz, 300W ps, with 2 cd drives and 2 hds. When I touch the fan area for my PS i notice that its really hot. Even the metal casing area around the PS. What could be the problem? Should i upgrade to a higher watt PS?
Thanks,
Wei

1. High ambient temps?
2. Is the PSU fan still pushing as much air as it used to?

no idea about the temp..i dont have any software or maybe even hardware to monitor them, but the fan does seem to be a little slugginsh in pushing the air. so u think its the fan?

Power supplies will run warm to the touch, without running any monitoring software, how can you really know if anything is overheating? Download MBM 5 and get a realtime reading of your CPU temps, then you will know for sure what is going on.

check for dust buildup, too, especially on the heatsink.
