*drumroll* There's a new AMD king in town!
Hello,
Guess what? As per vertices' advice, I have taken my stock CPU fan and mounted it on my Radeon. This allowed me to go to 475/400 (nice OC on air, eh? ). The result?
18839, placing me in 5th place on Sharky Forums and FIRST place in the AMD category.
Unfortunately, I got that "CPU variation" error. However, I was able to upload the project to Futuremark, so I can provide screenshots. Also, if vertices wants, I will give him the password to my account so that he can look at the project firsthand.
Vertices, here is the official info (for 3dmark database):
CPU stock speed: 1.73
CPU actual speed: 2375 (190x12.5)
Memory info: 190mhz (1:1), 2-2-2-4(!)
GPU stock core: 378
GPU overclocked core: 475
GPU stock memory: 337.5
GPU overclocked memory: 400
Score: 18839

Maybe so, but if I can get my paws on an A1 nForce2, I think I can break 20k (or am I just crazy?)!
Either way, with my Prometeia (which looks like it will be repaired by Chip-Con for free now), I will certainly be able to break 20k.

Well, they told me that out of 10 people who've sent back cracked capilliary tubes, they repaired 6 for free. The other 4 "showed signs of excessive force". I was still anxious about spending $300 on shipping (possibly to find out that I had to pay even more for repairs and shipping back), so I sent them a few pictures of the cracked portion (they authorized me to remove the foam padding). Anyway, I took it off, and the place where it's cracked has some electrical tape on it and has absolutely no indication of damage, etc. This means that it is a particularily vulnerable spot (otherwise they wouldn't put the tape on to brace it), and since there is no visible damge at all (I haven't looked under the tape), I can't imagine how they'd pass it off as "excessive force".
