    Cheap DVD drive

    Anyone know a good cheap 16x DVD drive that is also at least a regular 48x drive? I wanted to get a DVD for my comp, but I would have to sacrifice either the burner or the regular cd drive, I'd rather sacrifice the reg one. Kind of looking for something in the $40 range... any suggestions?

    Primary System:
    | MSI 16x DVD / 52x32x52 CD-RW | Lite-On DVD-RW SOHW-1633S | 2x Western Digital 250GB SATA | Abit Siluro GF4 Ti4200-8x 128MB DDR | Asus A7N8X-Deluxe | AMD Athlon XP 2500+ | ThermalTake Silent Boost | X-SuperAlien Black w/ 500w PSU | Kingston Valueram 2x512 |

    | Harman Kardon HKB6 | Sennheiser HD497 -> DIY PIMETA/META42 Frankenstein thingy -> E-Mu 0404 | Audigy 2 ZS |

    I'd get a Toshiba 16x dvd drive. Quiet and reliable. I'm pretty sure ALL 16x dvd drives have a max of 40x for cd reading.

    check out ussa.com for dvd-roms, cd-roms, and floppy's for prices.

    http://www.ussa.com/ussaonline/dept.asp?dept%5Fid=14006

    That's the direct link for their inventory of DVD-ROM drives. Since all are relatively the same price just choose a brand you can trust. Such as toshiba/sony/pioneer/samsung.

    I just bought an Artec Drive for only $32 w/free shipping @ Newegg. It got great reviews and is supposedly a rebadged Sony.
