    inet explorer icons gone???

I have some website index.html files and other html files on my pc and they are showing up without the little blue explorer icon.

Anybody know how i can get it back?

When I double click these files they open up in internet explorer so at least the file/program relationship is still working..

(Open a new window), Tools->Options->File Types?

Anything's Hot Swappable if you're fast enough.

Click into the start menu/settings/control panel/double-click the the "folder options" icon/click into the "file types" tab/look for "HTML" on the list and highlight it/in the same window look at the bottom and it should say "opens with" and to the right of that there's a "change" button. Once you click on the "change" button, you can choose the program you want to open "HTML" files. In your case, that's IE. Hope it works.

PS If you don't understand my instructions, you can probably reinstall IE and that should give IE the file association back.
