    Wow.. memory prices shot up big time...

    I just happened to be checking out something for a system I might build, and I can't believe how much memory prices have gone up. THe Corsair 1gb 2x512mb XMS memory I bought 3 weeks ago for $225 is now $260+! Amazing....

    Is it expected to head south again any time soon?

    I noticed that too... 512mb of Crucial PC2700 just cost me $88, I swear it was around $50 a few weeks ago...

    thanks god i bought my 1 gig twinx 3500 corsair XMS memory back when it was about $339 total

    I have posted the same thing TWICE within the last few weeks! Many said in so many words not to worry it was "only a few dollars"!!! He He!!!
    I have the old and new prices!!! Crucial pc2700 was $65.00 on 6-5-03! So it went up $23.00 in a month!!! And climbing towards the holidays!!!

    Supply in demand...

    Because it's cheap more people buy it. So then they charge more because more people want it. Then less people want it and they then lower the price again. It's a vicious cycle... you think they could find a middle ground.

    I don't know if they're cheap or not but I bought 2x512mb Twinmos PC3200 afew months back at about USD$158 (converted local $ to USD), don't know if it's up or down now but I'm happy with what I got.
