Windows 2000 Pro not shutting down
I have Windows 2000 Pro. Every time I try to shut it down it restarts. I have to hold in my power button to shut it down. Anybody know why this is happening?

you may be getting an error and it's restarting by default, to change this right click on My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced tab -> Startup and Recovery -> uncheck Automatically reboot. if it is an error it should show it now and if you need help with it post back with the error
If your sig is longer than your post then type more.

Thanks I hope that helped.
EDIT: It didn't work. So I don't know what to do. Do you have any other suggestions?

Now when I shut down, I get a blue screen and a message that it is going to dump some memory? Then I just restart and it's fine. Weird.

Do you have SP4? I was having problems similar to yours and SP4 quickly fixed them

I do have SP4. Now this is weird. Every time I try to copy a cd with CloneCd it restarts. Also when I restart, my mouse doesn't work. But if I restart it more than once it works. I think I should reinstall Windows. What do u guys think?
EDIT: Also if I don't have SP4 which I'm pretty sure I have, I'm dl'ing it right now. Also how do you remove items from startup in Win2KPro?
