Questions about TV-Tuner card and digital cable
http://www.leadtek.com.tw/multimedia...2000xp_1.shtml
This is the one I think I'm going to get. Questions:
1. I have digital cable, but only one box. The other rooms in the house simple have regular cable. I can hook this card up in the other rooms and use the card's remote to change channels correct?
2. If I want digital cable in my room, can I just hop on ebay and buy the same model digital cable box (scientific america Explorer 2100)? Can I just hook it up in any room and have digital cable? I know that sometimes they need to run an extra line to the house if you have too many TVs hooked up, but other than that should it work?
3. Will my PC function as an HDTV with a digital cable box and this tv tuner card?
Thanks!

1. Yes.
2. Probably not. Digital cable boxes have IP addresses and probably need to be activated by the cable company.

you could rent a 2nd box for around 3 bucks a month from your cable provider. at least that is how much they charge around here in nj.

I work for a cable company in Canada and you cannot use a digital box that you bought off of ebay if it does not have specific GI and AN numbers.
