Will the record break 30k this year of 2003?

He has the current record. Congras anyway when the prescotts arrive, as well as the radeon9900 pros, will he or someone manage to break 30k marks? Now we dont know how high the 9900 pros overclock, but do any of you recon someone will hit 600MHz on the core? Additionally, what about the improvement of the prescotts over the northwoods, even if the prescotts dont go much past 4GHz, would they offer 1/3 more performance as claimed by Intel? a 3.2 at say 4.5GHz on phase cooling and a 9900 pro at 580/450+ could that be it for the new milestone: 30,000

He has 566 to the core and probably holds the record for the highest core oc.

Hey wouldn't he get a few more marks if he used an FX5900 Ultra? Or does the Radeon overclock better?

The prescotts are gonna be a b*tch to OC. They are already hot and as the Ghz goes higher are gonna get really hot. Unless intel fixes this and finds a cooling solution people are gonna need a minimum of watercooling to get more than a few hundred Mhz on an OC.

Well heat wouldn't be a problem to those guys with prommies and LN2 and dryIce and whatnot will it? I mean at 4.4GHz I'm sure he broke 103W.. more like broke 150W..

If he broke 4GHz on a northwood, could he do the same on a prescott? Those master tweakers use exotic cooling, especially prometeias and phase change. I would be very supprised if no one got at least 4.2GHz out of a 3.2GHz prescott with negetive temps. additionally, is a prescott like 20% faster than a northwood MHz per MHz? If so, wouldnt a 4GHz prescott be like a 4.8GHz northwood? a 4.4GHz prescott be a 5.28GHz northwood equivalent Thats like another GHz from what those tweak masters have now, that should be worth over 2k more marks, plus if any one hits 600MHz core and 450MHz ram, this just might get 30k or at the very least come close. If 30k isnt broken this year, it may be a close one till Intel fixes the heat problems of the prescotts then you have 30k easy and when the r420 comes out(no r400) we could be seeing scores of 35k seeing how the rumors show how much of a revolution the "Loci" will be again!
