    Whats the lightest notebook you seen

    I think 2.9 or was it 2.4 pounds for me here Sony Vaio is the best known for that. They have a notebook with a 1024x480 widescreen and built in camera thingy. Comes with 750MHz p3, 256mb ram and 20GB hdd if I remember correctly

    Sony Vaio U3: 1.8 pounds. If you want a model that includes a built-in DVD drive, the lightest I've seen is the Panasonic W2, which weighs in at 2.4 pounds.

    wow man those are nice notebooks, I never seen any under two pounds! how do they even fit everything in a notebook a third the size of my keyboard, heck even my desktop hdd is as heavy as some of those notebooks!!!!!!!!

    Fujitsu P1120 is pretty light, at about 880 grams (around 1.8 pounds?). There's a similar one which I can't find that's still under a kilo and has a built-in DVD/CDRW combo drive.

    What about the Toshiba Protege R100?

    Saw it in a Mac store (I know ) and it looks like a cracker!

    So yummy. I just wanna grab it.
