centrino and pentium3 on laptops
I made this thread here becuase I want more cpu technicall information from the experts.
This is for a friend, he believes a pentium 3 is faster and better than a centrino. He thinks that it's celeron second generation.
beside 1M cache and more fsb than the pentium3.. what else can I say, he's just doesn't take the facts and doesn't believe me.

This should tell you what you want to know. The Centrino Platform, which includes the Pentium M processor, has a "few benefits" over the old P3.

well clock for clock is kinda close, But The Pentium M is built off of the Tulain core(P3gen) but has a high IPC. The Pentium M is much faster. A Pentium M can match a XP1600 in most cases
