My old roomie has that camera and it's amazing. I would highly recommend it if you have the $$ to spend and want something small

I work for Wolf Camera, and I agree that the Fujis are pretty decent cameras.

The only thing is, they try to tell you that the camera is a 6MP camera, when really it's just a 3MP interpolated.

But for the money, they're pretty good.

I think the best value out there right now is the Canon S50. $499.95, same price (or close) to the S400 but with 5 million pixels.

BTW I am not trying to sell anyone on a camera, I wouldn't see a dime of it unless you actually came in my store.

I think newegg.com is selling the S50 for 448 Bucks at this point of time.

The S50 is great. I still think that is small enough to fit in a purse and take a great shot.

I do not like the S400 and the SD100 as much becuase I feel they are trying to go as small as possible with the camera. Even I feel that a Canon S50 is a little to small.

See, I'm the exact opposite...I wear cargo pants, and now carry: cell phone (samsung A460 i believe it's called), a pair of sunglasses, my S400, Dell Axim, and a set of Sennheiser PX200s, in addition to my standard wallet, keys, ID cards, pens, etc. Having the S400 lets me slip it into a normal pocket, and keep the cargo pockets for other things.

of course, quality will drop as size drops but anybody going with the elph line will expect this and will prefer it rather than carrying a brick arround (like me)

plus it's not the the photo's are bad quality anyway
