My New Multimedia Desktop!! Check It Out!!! =)
This is my multi-media desktop. At the bottom center you'll notice a Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro. Connect to that via rear USB ports is a Microsoft Internet Explorer mouse with a Microsoft Sidewinder gaming controller. To the upper right of the mouse and the sidewinder gaming controller, you'll notice a cable box which I have hooked up to my Happauge TV card. The cable box is sitting atop one of the two KLH bookshelf speakers. Between those speakers you'll find a Kenwood center channel speaker. But what is this hiding behind the Kenwood? Why, it's a Sony SDM-V72W, a 17.1" high definition wide screen monitor, the highlight of my entire desktop.

Nice job!!!
Just took a look @ your system spec there, and I have a question.
Is it better to suck the heat out of the HeatSink instead to blow towards it?
Thanks.

Nah, I kinda like the smaller mouse pad. There was a point where I needed more space for other things on my desk top. I was going to get one that was slightly bigger but the gel part of it was very poor quality. I like the brand Fellows the best. The Jelly feels a lot better.

On Sony's web site it says $1000. But at Circuit City it's $800 plus theres a $200 mail-in rebate going on until 9-27-03. So in the end after tax everything will cost $665.99. Hehehe, kinda evil. $666.

Well... actually. For the CPU it's actually depends on the design of it. Some heatsinks work better with the air blowing out of it. Some towards it. Mine Fortunately works better blowing out. It cools about 2 degrees celcius better blowing out on my heatsink. From it blowing out I realized that the rear fans should blow out also to get rid of all the heat. Which is when I decided to make the CPU exhaust. =)

Really I thought only the PAL8045/8942 benefited from the exhaust. Maybe I need to try putting my fan as pulling off my SLK-900U.

Yeah well, you really just need to think about the aero dynamics of it. Basicly you know that the part of the heatsink that is directly over the core of the CPU is going to be the hottest and need the most air. For a heatsink like, The Akasa Silver Mountain 2, if you have air blowing OUT from it, the air current will never touch the center of the heatsink. The air would just get sucked in from the side and out the fan. But for the SLK series of heatsinks, like the ones we have, it uses fins, along with the fact that the area of the heatsink that is directly over the core is a big huge trangular shaped block of copper which from what I see nearly contours the shape of the air flow making it better blowing out. :::shrug::: iono, just a my theory.

Nice setup! Does it always look that organized? If so you are heads up on most of us( I think ). Mine is neat, but not quite that neat. I have a mouse pad like that and they are great except for gaming as I find it to be too small.

Yeah I agree about the mouse pad. It feels nice under my wrist but I often find myself having to life my mouse to make the extra turn to blast someone in de_dust. My desk is USUALLY organized. But the rest of my room looks like Satan's @$$ crack! It'll be nice in about two weeks when I reposition everything in my room. New furnature! WHOOOOOOOOO!
