Tiger Shark
Nosferatu demo
Hey this one went under the radar. Too bad, it shows promise. I've heard people say that it's like Undying ... I've never played Undying so ... yeah.
Environments are look great, that pseudo fog effect that they have going is pretty neat. It makes everything look dated. Not graphically dated, but almost like it's out of a movie. The enemies are okay, their "static" animations in a new age of ragdoll and such make it a little buzzkill, but that's okay. Huge download size, 212 megs, if you're a fan of these games (and you have broadband) you won't hesitate.

Also, that dog scared the crap outta me.

the game's atmosphere is pretty spooky...so spooky in fact I'll play it when it's in the daylight...when I read about the dogs with glowing eyes and that the vampies stike in the shadows making them undectable and stuff in that journal thingy it kinda creeped me out...

humm...I tried to play it again but I exited after 20 seconds...it's just way too creepy for me...I'll try tomorrow in daylight and when no one's home...so I can play and scream my head off and talk trash to the game to boost my confidence level and ease the tension...one thing that was interesting was this part from: http://www.idolfx.se/nosferatu.html
One additional interesting aspect of the game is the Architectural Generator Engine that, when you play, arranges the castle layout in a new and unique way every time you play. This is an internally developed, highly sophisticated file hierarchy system that allows random generation of geometry (static and/or animated), texturing, sound, character spawning and any game play element.
I wonder how they did this without oversimplifing levels because randomly generated maps for fps games are usually extremely simple...I wonder if they have premade levels/rooms that the designers made and just placed these rooms in random order and set different points that could be made as enterances...I really don't see a random map generator creating any good looking and unique geometry...oh and btw it uses an engine that was developed in house...another thing that was really cool is that when you play...the screen looks like a 1930's projector is showing everything...it's got like these lines running up and down and they made it so it's a cool effect...but it doesn't get annoying...
